The stakes are high, the curtains are raised and the sea of speculations are rife. The people are exercising their democratic rights. The media on the other hand has split into two camps, the remote control at homes usher the media sidesteps.
A nation need direction, people needed more that debates but the role of the media should be a watch dog, not being waiting for the drama, but should have steered the nation to a right direction, the peace and stability of the nation and the stability of the people minds should have been tamed in (SNS) Social Networking Sites. That is where the bone of contention has played its silent game, the bad-words ,vulgarity and language has played on nations media houses, where are the editors?
Kenyan journalism has done less to counter messages of hate throughout the social media and there is a need to calm the situation for the next elections and the current flames of social media which has divided the country.
Being in whatsapp groups has showed me with ideas and the alternate news of the division along tribal lines thus the prayer is one united nation under one flag and end to tribalism that has and will decimate the fabric that holds Kenya together, i respect the two principals candidates, Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga , for the way they have played their roles, with little blame games but , on this the have to do is to accept the verdict of the Kenyan people for the results of the election s and they should address the nation at same place and join hands to transform Kenya and work together for a peaceful Kenya for posterity.
