Kenya walks a tight rope, constitutional crisis.

A politician is like a lady bird that hatches eggs he has not laid...
Kenyan dreams dashed, hopes hacked, tribalism trumpeted. The road is rocky... 50+1 Years since independence our flag lifted high and flew at the summit of Mount Kenya and the apex of our dreams, we were free and now are we? the fangs of devolution spit venom, we are told what to do, not only when to travel but also what to put on our vehicles and what cost and we are 'forced' and the tears of joy wiped away.Fifty years with people still eating rats and dogs in the Northern parts of Kenya-(Turkana, Baringo and West Pokot) among other places,as the the Transport cabinet secretary avalanches a new 'digital number plate' and one customised which will cost Ksh 1 million, and the machine for making the number plates at a cost of 15 million shillings, this is a mock to the people who die of hunger. Digital a devil in the making, no humility, every ministry wants to show  a mile of development for which is 'insanity' if it doesn't address the needs of common women and men,it becomes a digital devil,a word used by the old guards thinking its is worth the taxpayers and makes a fuzz instead.Remember, a frog croaks in a pond and thinks it's an ocean of time, the rest joins chorus not knowing that the sea is far beyond its shores. You can fool Kenyans sometimes but not all the time.Kenyans are quiet but time to take that long journey to Canaan comes soon, and a referendum will soon be a discussion on the element of frustrating times in the face of the Nation.
Every cabinet secretary in Kenya wants to be remembered for what they do, unfortunately, most of them have misplaced priorities, and are guided by greed.
The Daily Nation dated Tuesday, February 25, 2014 carries the story in the front page, no criticism in any Kenyan newspaper , are we asleep , is the ethical genre of journalism eroded by skewed ownership gatekeepers guns blaze, for such stories would not have seen the light of day.
The governors flaunt flags and call themselves EGH...Excellency in their twitter account, by having Kenya's national  flags in their vehicles governors have not only desecrated the flag but also counties casting contempt to national flag for which we are supposed to respect and only the President of the republic should use it. Devolution has disparaged national flag.Parlaiment has a scheme afoot to return the glory of Kenya's flag.
Senators and governors all out war and the parliament and the judiciary , so who's who in the devolution and is there a clear byline among the warring parties, a governor is impeached and then reinstated, who will explain to Kenyans the devolved road? They usher a divided path. Public resources misused, counties hatch cronyism, tribalism devours our counties, lack of expertise to use the funds for development, lack of systems in place for sustainable devolution,we are poised to development damnation. Kenya is on the bring of constitution crisis! Basic principles of operation cannot be solved, defense of the common man cannot be guaranteed. The bottom rock has been breached and the foundations of our founding fathers shaken, its time the president, deputy president and parliament, with the senate walks in and solve this dwindling devolution lest we wake up one morning back to Rome and the rule of the roost reigns.
"We are on the precipice of a crisis, a constitutional crisis. The checks and balances, which have been at the core of this republic, are about to be evaporated... the checks and balances that say if you get 51% of the vote, you don't get your way 100% of the time. Its amazing , its almost a temper tantrum"- Charles Schumer.
Long Live the Republic of Kenya and the people of Kenya.

Tamper Proof Number Plates , Untimely move.

A tussle between tradition and new technology, the rise of new gadgets sometimes is a stumbling block to cognitive progress and becomes and load to common.
The machine for manufacturing number plates procured at a cost of 15 million Kenyan Shillings from Germany that's absurd as the people of Turkana and Baringo sleep hungry and dine on rats, dogs and what they can get at their disposal.
It emerges that old 'analog' folks are travelling abroad and just picking on any technological trend they come across and include friends they make and come and impose rules and regulations to Kenyans who struggle to live ...heavily taxed, and no proper amenities supplied. Every new technology that Kenya adopts is a money making machine for the few tycoons who rip the unsuspecting Kenyans.
The 'specific' digital speed governors is untimely move too in the name of curbing road carnage , rather the progress of nation cannot be measured by acquiring new gadget at the expense of taxpayers money unless parliament passes them, its only a waste of money, when we cannot manufacture even mere machines, How on earth do live on theory rather than practicality of life.
The micro-chip on the number plates is another 'seat belt saga' seat on a seat and eat on a heat, unsuspecting media houses or journalist if not the skewed ownership patterns allow themselves to be used as a platform to announce the 'new trends' ...so called digitization and they don't ask tough questions.Whether a barcode reader or a QR reader apps for police to use to track vehicles. There are other cheaper alternatives for this phenomena.
Instead of developing simple technology for instance cheap ways of having a smart card chip which will cost less that 1000 Kenyan shilling Its like a debit card, below is a sample Certificate of Registration...

Joshua Boitt..Copyright
which will have the number plate, the chassis number, color and year of manufacture and so forth.
One day they will be accountable to Kenyans when a new generation will rise up to challenge the onslaught from the Kenya Cabinet Secretaries who think they own the country just like the governors who think they own the counties and cronyism that devastate KENYA .Oh! God may the day come that the poor man will be free from them, and Kenya reaches its vision.
The fact that technology is here to stay is not a passport of cabinet secretaries to impose it when we have not reached the watershed of that river of hope. If they have to introduce it then let it be as the Asians do think the viability and availability and monetary wise, let your tech students in Kenyan universities learn it and develop it. Cabinet secretaries should instead invest the money at their disposal for the good of Kenyans in research and development. Any new digital device or tech transfer intended for the people of Kenya should be affordable at least to 50% of the population.
Let wisdom plus knowledge prevail.

Nelson Mandela Dies at 95.

Nelson Mandela, the icon of peace, the tower of love, the African statesman who forgave those who wronged him, dies at 95. Africa has frozen.
Leaders have come and gone but Mandela remain as a legacy and tribute to our hearts, minds and souls. Young and old loved him from my Native Kenya and here in India a street is named after him in New Delhi, Nelson Mandela Road Vasant Kunj...its show respect and love that he had to India.
The fig tree has fallen the lights have dimmed , winds of time blown away our dad, an inspiring father. Africans gather from villages and the cities, hamlets and tears cloud their visions, we have lost a man who  united Africa and the world, we lost Africa's son, dad .
His legacy of forgiveness remains the tower of peace, liberty, love fraternity and unity. We will walk his path, the journey was long and shortened by death, Nelson Mandela the Letter 'M' the letter of peace a letter of unity and reconciliation..from Mvezo village, a Madiba clan.. wives  Evelyn Mase Winnie Madikizela..Graca Machel..memories of the strong man we will miss you.... From Mandela's words "We shall build a society...where all will be able to walk tall..., a rainbow nation at peace with itself and the world... this beautiful land" Touch and inspiring, the journey has begun I shall follow his footsteps to unite the world.
Africa celebrates the life of Nelson Mandela, and mourn his death. He fought the race, he delivered Africa from bondage of apartheid, he forgave, he reconciled and loved all ..a leader to be emulated
Rest in peace Mandela, a river that will flow in peace to our hearts.
Farewell Papa Mandela.

Chelsea Beats Benfica

Chelsea clinches UEFA Europa Cup title (2013); it’s come after last year’s victory in Germany of UEFA Champions league. A sweet victory for 'Romans army', a well deserve win at the death of time. Fernando Torres finally delivers while Branislav Ivanovic seals the victory. Mata plays all goal assistance and that team work. Team spirit.
Chelsea still the cork of the walk, the Blues rules European skies, and from the Chants last year in Germany to the deafening triumph in Amsterdam a calendar day to remember,11 years on still a true blue and Chelsea for life fan, craze.
It dramatic Europa league trophy, as the captain lifts the trophy, Chelsea 2 Benfica 1.
From Allianz Arena to Amsterdam Arena, two special cups two different nations, two different years, two diverse teams, Chelsea beat Bayern, Chelsea beat Benfica.
I asked the dove what’s love?, she responded when you fly into two gardens and come out a winner, I asked blue tit what’s blue?, it’s when Chelsea makes the sky blue and wipes away the clouds and a bright new day is delivered to fans, I (Joshua Boitt) asked  why shed tears? Because the tears will be wiped away with sweet victories and on we march to Stamford singing with the doves and blue tits.
Remember this Benitez beats Benfica, Cech cheats Cardozo and saves the day,
Chelsea did and will do it again, in style with a smile, the game is on next season comes soon with a bang 2013-2014.

Boston Blasts

The world is watching as Boston finish line, goes up in smoke, terror has struck the heart of sports. Celebration ambiance devastated, the second biggest marathon event in the US shattered but the sport spirit lives on as the people are resilient and together humanity defeat social evils that provoke anger and peace and unity will stand tall.
The Boston Marathon blast has ripped the heart of sports, according to news agencies two people have died and scores injured, the overwhelming rescue -spectators and Boston police who rushed to the scene as it was captured on film.
Who was behind it?  what was the motive is? yet to be established, terror might be behind these attacks, and why on innocent people who have no connection with politics, may God protect humanity and may peace and love reign in every heart so that such scenes don't happen in future.
It’s high time that other Marathon venues need security review and cameras at all lanes, the skies are secure, the manholes window and checks to all bags and people attending this major events.

Mary Abigail Schmitz , Joshua Boitt- Poems

Joshua Kipkemoi Boitt

Sunrise
Melodious merry morn, lovely chirrup
The orange orb rising hails Indian summer
Sun burns, summer syrup
Parched land, bemoan Indian farmer
Nesting the cave walls, parrot preys
Cirrus clouds obscure sunrise
Echoes a Buddhist prayer hall, monk prays
The misty valley, secures sunrays
The Taj of Deccan towers, alighted soft morn
Arsul dam breezes, Aurangabad caves breathes heat wave
‘Poor man’s Taj’ of love, forever mourn

Sunset
The red ball descending, beyond the mighty dusk,
Birds heading east, squirrels climb down, a lofty task
Lonely sunset gliding, washing away sorrows
Gladly glowing, lovely dulcet
Far afield western coast, a promise of a new dawn
Boitt Sleeps, Abigail wakes, Aurangabad-New York world afar

SUNRISE
Reaching, stretching, far as it can
Up over the horizon; illuminates the land
Fingers of purple and heart of gold
Waking all people; young and old
Silently announces the start of the day
Bursting with promise
Chases the darkness away

SUNSET
Slowly drifting
Down and down
Under the branches
Warming the ground
Resting its rays for tomorrow's light
Slowly, slowly
Out of sight

Strength of a woman

By Joshua Boitt.
We praise heroes every day, but we forget to eulogize heroines, the world progresses by an invincible hand which continue to reach out, mend the net of peace and harmony.
Whether the Peruvian woman in a South African prison giving birth she cares for her child upright, The tears of refugee aged 105 from Syria across the border ,her cries resonates the motherly love, for she remembers those who suffer in the hands of men she sees bodies and yearns for peace as men wage war.
I salute women, their grand efforts unfettered, their strength unmatched, as they march into the eye of centuries of male subjugated society they subdue all obstacles, pick a spot for future posterity for children. May women grow strong to marshal a promising tomorrow!
Men rule women lead, every touch sparks a success, and for every woman’s advice gratitude grows in the family. Motherly love forever remembered. Mothers sacrifice their moment in life and pride to take us across the bridge of time, they trudge the cold slopes of gender stereotype to guide, love, and care. Grandma’s simple night stories by the fire touches our hearts, the delicacy from the kitchen keep us alive.
Every inspiration springs out a womans’ heart, for a complete movie a woman is at the helm, happiness stems out of woman. A man builds’ a house, women built a home, they share responsibilities and create infinite possibilities for intricate opportunities in a man’s life.
Rising with kitchen smoke to kings throne of power, let sgive girls opportunities. Hillary Clinton, Condoleza Rice, Dilma Rouseff, Mother Teresa continues to bring inspiration to every girl opening the hall of female destiny that awaits them. Rise young girls take you position in the society and forever skies will be added with butterflies and flowers not only soccer balls and kites.
As a man walked he is proud because there is a woman. For every courageous man on the stage there is a whisper of woman urging him to go! Go!
May the chains of gender stereotypes be broken and a 50/50 society where all have equal career opportunities and a platform to accomplish dreams. Rise young women Rise!
